One of the biggest predictor of behaviour is your state of mind. If you feel good going into your exam, it's going to help boost your grades.

This is the case for any performance, whether you're a footballer, dancer or actor. If you feel good you will perform better.

Before you go into your exam think about something that makes you feel good and positive. This might be a past holiday when you had a great time or a particularly good memory with friends or family.

A powerful psychological technique is positive visualisation: this is where positive feelings are enhanced. This is based on the fact that the mind and body are interconnected. For example heart rate, brainwave patterns and skin temperature can all be changed by thought.
