In your exam you may be expected to write an essay comparing two poems.
Depending on the phrasing of the question you will need to focus on different issues. The most important thing to remember is to make your comparison central to the essay.
Don't write about just the two poems separately; do include a short conclusion at the end.
The examiner is looking for your ability to compare the two poems and comment on their similarities, differences and overall effect.
Use the advice in Step 2 to help you answer the questions. You should find the questions listed in these useful to prompt new ideas in the exam.
