Placements

We combine a stimulating learning environment with real-world experience and we actively encourage our students to undertake an invaluable work placement during their time of study. The placements on offer vary in length and the range of sectors, firms and organisations we work with throughout the UK and abroad is vast. Nottingham Business School students have undertaken placements with organisations including Toyota, Ernst and Young, Boots plc, Merrill Lynch, Audi, Next plc and Adidas.
This period of supervised work experience will provide you will an invaluable opportunity to gain experience by engaging in business and industry practice. It will allow you to apply theoretical knowledge to a real-work environment as well as assist in the development of essential personal and professional skills.

Fast-track your career with our pioneering courses

We offer the first undergraduate course in the UK in which the majority of the learning takes place in the working environment – BA (Hons) Business Management (In-Company). You will spend Years Two and Three of the course in a placement company, who will pay your course fees during these years as well as pay you a salary. Supporting companies include Boots, Rolls-Royce, Sagar Wright, Severn Trent Water, Toyota plus many more.

Management Studies

Another fast track programme on offer is the BA (Hons) Management Studies. This management degree has a major advantage whereby it is a three year course which incorporates a one year work placement. Employability and workplace performance are an important aspect of this course, combined with academic rigour and quality.
