Alerting the Senses

We can liken this to a magician producing a rabbit from a hat - some might think it a miracle, whilst others think it is just a clever trick that can be taught. To some people, ideas flow freely, whilst others need to work hard to produce ideas. Rarely do ideas come from nowhere, they are stimulated in various ways.

The following passages are showing you ways of encouraging the flow of ideas. In other words, a clever trick that we can be taught to do:

Alerting the Senses

Your brain is the chemical from which ideas come. Stimulation from the outside world is brought to your brain through your senses. To heighten the awareness of your surroundings, (from which all stimulation will come), you need to make good use (and understand the value) of your senses.

When you are in touch with your immediate world and not taking everyday things for granted, you will find the unexpected all around you.
